New Things I Do Now That I Am 5 Months Old!
Hi everybody! Here is a quick update on me!
I now roll both ways. One day, a few weeks ago, mommy laid me on my blanket on the floor and went to get something. When she came back I was on my tummy and smiling away! What a good trick!
Also, I started eating my very first "baby food" this month. Mama started me on some rice cereal and has been experimenting with some other things (avocado, pears, applesauce). I don't like to eat any of them by themselves yet, but enjoy them mixed into my cereal.
This month I also started having more trouble finishing my bottles. After about 3-4 ounces I get fussy and refuse to suck anymore (no matter how hard mommy and daddy try). The doctor says it could be due to teething. Mom and dad are hoping this tooth comes through soon. And so am I!!!!!
More and more lately I am laughing like a big girl. I have to be in the right mood, but sometimes I just enjoy a good belly laugh . . . no matter what mom and dad do. It's all funny to me!
I slept overnight in my pack n play for the first time this month. Mom and dad brought it along on our Thanksgiving trip to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's, and then again to Mama and Papa Fig's when mom went home for cousin Anita's bridal shower. I do pretty well in it, but it's definitely not the same as my nice warm bed at home!
At my 5 month checkup I weighed in at 13.4 ounces and 25 1/4 inches long. The doctor says I am looking completely healthy! Hooray!
The biggest news is that my newest friend, Dance Nomi, was born this past Sunday, Dec 4th to Benji and Sarah. Dance weighed in at 9lbs 15oz and was 22 inches long. The delivery went great and Benji and Sarah brought her home yesterday. I can't wait to help her "learn the ropes". After all, it's tough being a little baby!!
