Halle, tell Mommy I can't figure out how to leave comments on her blog anymore. He most recent one about the homeless stirred my heart. She knows how my foster brother was homeless most of his life after leaving our home. In many ways I think he CHOSE to live that way. He never tried hard to keep a job nor stay committed to his those he loved resulting in two divorces and 3 children who rarely ever saw him. I have not heard from him in years and this year heard through his daughter that he has passed away leaving her with many uanswered questions and unsettled problems that he will never be able to help her through. I realize so many go homeless without choice but I often wonder how many just prefer that way of life and the acceptance and security they feel with other homeless people ... Perhaps a security and acceptance they could never acheive in normal society (whatever that may be).
